What is Blue Crystal Ball?
“Crystal Ball” is acontemporary art collection which consists of single channel videos created inorder to pass on the Olympic legacy to future generations. Selectedworld-renown artists will create new artworks that reflect the values ofOlympism.

Objective
This collection invites innovativeinternational artists to explore and reflect on the Olympic ideals and createnew artworks. Like fortune tellers gazing into a crystal ball they show usaspects of sport and life we have not seen before. This media art project seeksto enrich the Olympic experience through commissioned artworks thatintelligently explore the universal aspects of the Olympic values.

The Handover Ceremony and Private viewing
The ceremony is the special ceremony which only limited numer of people can participate in. About 80 people are supposed to be intivited in the event. Global Media, experts of art and culture, IOC(International Olympis Committee), LOCOG(London Organizing Committe of the Olympic Games and Paralymic Games), and Future OCOG(The Organising Committee for the Olympic Games) will attend the ceremony.

About the Artworks
Each artwork explores and reflects on the Olympic ideals and creates new narratives and visual epiphanies. Using contemporary technologies, they create stories around the ancient roots of the Olympic games which can be bequested to future generations. The artworks will move the audience, “Beyond boundaries beyond a new threshold of friendship.”
